Physiotherapy is a specialized area of clinical medicine that studies the physiological and therapeutic effect of various physical factors on the human or animal body. These physical factors can be natural or artificially created.
These include: heat, cold, water, massage, ultrasound, electric current, magnetic field, laser, ultraviolet and infrared radiation.
Physical factors are applicable independently or in combination with other (therapeutic, surgical) methods and means of treatment.
Physiotherapy is one of the most important components of rehabilitation in virtually all diseases, but especially effective and it is indispensable for the treatment of diseases of the spine and musculoskeletal system.
The main goal of physiotherapy is to improve metabolism, microcirculation in the tissues, and stimulation of reparative processes, i.e., acceleration of wound healing. In addition, physical therapy provides and analgesic effect, relieves muscle tension and at the same time allows you to restore the tone of weakened muscles.
Indications for each method its own, the range of application of physiotherapy covers a wide variety of diseases. The most effective physical therapy is used in neurology,traumatology, orthopedics and dentistry.
Indications for physiotherapy:
Charcot osteoarthropathy in which the elimination of pain and reduce the severity of inflammation, improves motor activity and muscle strengthening;
diseases of the spine such as herniated discs, spondylitis/spondylosis, ankylosis and calcification of intervertebral disks;
postoperative rehabilitation of animals who have suffered orthopedic and neurological surgery;
increase and improve the sporting qualities of animals participating in competitions and exhibitions;
In our clinic we perform the following physiotherapy:
electrophoresis with karipazim
Electrophoresis is the introduction into the organism of medicinal substances with the help of DC.
“Karipazim” is a complex herbal preparation, which is composed of various enzymes. The influence of electric currents and karipazim has a decongestant and anti-inflammatory action, improves circulation, stimulates phagocytosis, enhances tissue regeneration. Is used at arthrosis, arthritis, osteochondrosis, injuries of joints, hernias of intervertebral disks.
Ultrasonic therapy (UST) is the application of ultrasonic vibrations for therapeutic purposes. Ultrasound has mechanical, thermal, physico-chemical impacts (“micro-massage” of the cells and tissues).
Ultrasound has a strong analgesic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and tonic effect, stimulates blood and lymph circulation, regenerative processes.
UST is used for diseases of the musculoskeletal system (arthritis, arthrosis) and diseases of the peripheral nervous system (neuralgia, neuritis).
Electrotherapy (electrotherapy) — application for therapeutic-prophylactic and rehabilitation purposes of electric currents, electric and electromagnetic fields. The electrical signals increase blood flow, increase lymph circulation, exert analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. It is used in diseases of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral nervous system diseases, for the relief of pain (acute/chronic).
Laser therapy — a method of physical therapy that uses laser light for therapeutic purposes. Physiotherapy focused beam of the laser penetrates deep into the tissues of the body, stimulating metabolic and regenerative-reduction processes, activates blood circulation, anti-inflammatory and analgesic action. Is used during dental diseases and diseases of the musculoskeletal system
In 2013-2014, in our clinic we plan to further develop physiotherapy and rehabilitation of animals undergoing orthopedic and other diseases, in which treatment can be used the methods described. Also in the future we plan to use techniques such as:
Physical therapy (physiotherapy).
